Moon-Venus-Mercury Triangle

On the morning of the 29th of
May 2003 local time - the moon's thin cresent (with earthshine
on its dark face ) and the inner planets Venus (the brightest
dot) and Mercury, formed an exquisite apparent visual triangle. |

The conjunction was surprisingly good - especially through
the binoculars! . |
