2003 K4 LINEAR in the southern milky way (comet is blue/green
dot in lower mid far left). Eta Carinae nebula features prominently.

Comet 2004 Q2 Machholz is featured in this 9 min. exp. Started image at ~15:17 15th dec 04 UT. Comet Machholz was well on its way down from the meridian by this point unfortunately. Note: light pollution affects this shot and the next. This part of the sky at this dark site is near a large light dome from a nearby town.
